 we are learning to recognise emotions around receiving and sending letters. 

when I sent received a letter it made me feel nice and happy it was from my grandma and she was in nelson and I got the letter when she was still in nelson so I wrote back we both felt happy,

The lovely weka cant fly but it has a love for any objects that shine!.

The Morepork owl is named after the sound it makes mostly heard at night.

The kea is one of the smartest birds in the world, they love to take things from cars like the windscreen wipers and other things made of rubber.

 Hi my name is Rakaia I have one half sister. I'm part Irish and part British Me and my sister love to fight together I am a student at Blaketown school I have A large family. 

At school I am good at writing and math my goal is to get better at my math and to get better at running and get better at hand writing.

I like to play hockey I love to go to school and hang with my friends.

I am hoping that I can get into more sports at school and get better at hockey. I also want to get better at reading.

Maori rainbow

 Today Room Four have been working on Maori so I decided to do the Maori rainbow. I used curve on a google draw and drew over the lines to get the colour. Then once I coloured it I wrote the name of the colours on top. I thought it was interesting because we got to learn the Maori colours of the rainbow. comment if you think there is a way to make it better. 

What is media?

 In Room Four we have been learning about Cyber Smart. We worked on 'what is media' and we made a poster about all the things that are media. 'Media is all around us'.

I used Google Drawings for this and now I can screen shot it so I can put it on my blog.

I found this task to be quite easy to do, it was fun because we got to make a poster. Can you comment on what media you have watched or looked at in the last 24 hours?

Film Festival Comments

In Room Four I have been working on writing quality blog posts. I have learnt that blog comments need positive, thoughtful and helpful thoughts. I watched some past Manaiakalami films from other schools And we made notes and turned them into quality blog comments.

We made DLO that had the notes of the different parts of the films we watched. You can see the slide below.

  

I found this difficult because we had to try to think about words to write and it took so long. It was also hard because this was all new to me but then it was sorta easy because we could copy the comments it was hard and easy for me.
